Broward County Council

On Monday, March 16, 2009, forty Midshipmen awed a crowd of 300 at Briny's Riverfront Irish Pub. The U. S. Naval Academy Woman's Glee Club, led by Director Cindy Baughspies, delivered an outstanding variety of songs, from traditional patriotic music to show tunes and even some "oldies".   The backdrop of the New River on a beautiful Florida evening only added to the outstanding evening.  A buffet dinner was provided for all in attendance by Briny's Irish Pub & Restaurant, the Council’s community affiliate.  

The event was hosted by The Naval Academy Alumni Association, Naval Academy Parent's Club and the Broward County Council of the Navy League.
