Guard service members

The Broward County Navy League Council and Broward
Navy Days hosted the annual Coast Guard Christmas Party
on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at the Briny Riverfront
Restaurant located at Las Olas Riverfront. The
Coast Guard is the men and women who interdict
drugs, stopping human smuggling, responding to
natural disaster and helping you when you are in
distress on the water.
The Coast Guard personnel from
Station Fort Lauderdale and Air Station Miami (Opalaca)
were on hand the free food, drinks, live music and
the company of friends. Two Coast Guard patrol boats
were tied-up dockside. The mood was festive
and the Holiday Decorations at Briny’s are superb.
